Custom AI Solutions

Custom AI Solutions Built Around Your Business Problem

When off-the-shelf tools do not fit, Growth Dash designs and builds custom AI applications: internal assistants, document intelligence, recommendation and forecasting systems and AI-powered features inside your own product.

When a custom AI solution makes sense

Many business needs are met with existing tools: a chatbot platform, a CRM add-on or a ready-made automation. A custom build makes sense when your process is unusual, your data is a competitive advantage, you need AI inside your own product, you have strict security or hosting requirements or the existing tools simply cannot do what you need. The question to ask first is not what can we build, but what is the smallest thing that reliably solves the problem. We help you answer it before any code is written.

What we build

Internal knowledge assistants

An assistant that answers staff questions from policies, product documents, past proposals and support history, with citations and permissions so people only see what they are allowed to. Teams save time searching and new hires become productive faster.

Document intelligence

Systems that read contracts, invoices, applications, reports and emails, extract key fields, flag anomalies and route items for review. These suit finance, operations, legal, HR and logistics teams with high document volumes.

Recommendation and personalisation

Engines that suggest products, content or next best actions based on behaviour and context, improving conversion and engagement in ecommerce, media, learning and marketplaces.

Forecasting and analytics

Models that forecast demand, churn, lead conversion or revenue, and dashboards that explain the drivers in plain language. We start with simple, explainable methods and use more complex ones only where they add measurable accuracy.

AI features inside your product

If you run a SaaS or app, we help add AI capabilities such as smart search, summaries, drafting, classification or conversational interfaces, built to scale and designed with your product team. See also AI automation for SaaS.

Computer vision and speech

Image recognition for quality checks, product tagging or document scanning, and speech tools for transcription, call analysis and voice assistants, built on proven models rather than from scratch wherever possible.

Our build approach

  1. Problem framing: a clear statement of the decision or task, who uses the output, what a good result looks like and how it will be measured.
  2. Data assessment: what data you have, how clean it is, who owns it and what restrictions apply. Poor data is the most common reason for AI projects to fail, so we assess it early and honestly.
  3. Feasibility prototype: a small proof of concept on real examples to check accuracy and value before you commit to a full build.
  4. Production engineering: reliable architecture, APIs, security, monitoring and cost controls, built on cloud platforms of your choice.
  5. Evaluation: test sets and acceptance criteria agreed in advance, with results shared openly, including where the system fails.
  6. Deployment and training: integration into your workflows, documentation and user training.
  7. Monitoring and improvement: tracking quality drift, usage and cost, and improving over time.

Build, buy or blend

We favour the simplest approach that works. That often means combining proven model APIs with your data and some custom logic instead of training models from scratch, which is rarely necessary and expensive. We will recommend buying a ready-made tool when it is better for you, and building only the parts that differentiate your business.

Responsible AI

We take responsibility seriously. That includes testing for bias where decisions affect people, being transparent about what AI is doing, keeping humans accountable for important decisions, protecting personal data and respecting intellectual property. Regulations such as the EU AI Act, GDPR and sector-specific rules are evolving, and requirements depend on your use case and markets, so we recommend involving your legal and compliance advisers early.

Ownership and portability

You own the code we write for you, and we document the system so another team could maintain it. We avoid unnecessary vendor lock-in, and where we use third-party model providers we design the system so providers can be replaced.

Custom AI FAQs

If off-the-shelf tools cannot meet your requirements, your data is a competitive advantage, or you need AI inside your own product, custom may be justified. A short assessment will tell you.

Not always. Many modern solutions use pre-trained models combined with your documents. Some projects, such as forecasting, do need historical data, and we assess this early.

A feasibility prototype can take a few weeks, and a production system usually takes a few months, depending on scope and integrations.

You own the code we build for you, and we document it so it can be maintained by others.

It can be, with proper architecture, access controls, vendor choices and monitoring, which we plan from the start.
