Headless & Jamstack

Headless and Jamstack Websites Built for Speed and Flexibility

Decouple your content from your front end. Growth Dash builds headless CMS and Jamstack websites with Next.js, Astro and modern APIs for outstanding performance, security and multi-channel publishing.

What is a headless website?

In a traditional CMS, content management and the visitor-facing site live in one system. In a headless architecture, the CMS manages content and exposes it through an API, while a separate front end, often built with Next.js, Nuxt, Astro or SvelteKit, renders it. Jamstack takes this further: pages are pre-built or rendered at the edge, served from a CDN and enhanced with APIs, which gives excellent speed and a small attack surface. The same content can feed a website, a mobile app, a kiosk or a voice interface.

When headless is worth it

  • You need very high performance and Core Web Vitals at scale.
  • You publish the same content to several channels.
  • Your developers want modern front-end frameworks and design freedom.
  • Security is a priority and you want to minimise server-side exposure.
  • You run many sites or brands from one content hub.

When it is not

Headless adds complexity and cost. For a typical small business site, a well-built WordPress or Shopify site is faster to launch, cheaper and easier for marketing teams to edit. We tell clients plainly when headless is overkill. See also our CMS development guidance.

Our headless services

Architecture and CMS selection

We help you choose between headless WordPress, Strapi, Contentful, Sanity, Directus, Payload and other options based on your editors, budget and integrations, and design content models that stay flexible as you grow.

Front-end development

We build with Next.js, Astro, Nuxt, React and Vue, using static generation, incremental regeneration and server rendering to match each page type. Components are reusable and documented.

Headless commerce

Using Shopify Storefront API, WooCommerce APIs or commerce platforms, we build custom storefronts with fast navigation and tailored checkout journeys. See ecommerce development.

SEO for headless sites

Headless sites can rank very well, but only when built with search in mind. We implement server-side or static rendering, clean URLs, metadata and canonical management, XML sitemaps, structured data, redirects and preview workflows so editors can see SEO fields. Our technical SEO team reviews every build.

Editor experience

Great architecture fails if editors cannot use it. We provide live preview, clear content models, roles and workflows, so your team publishes confidently without developers.

Hosting and deployment

We deploy to edge platforms such as Vercel, Netlify or Cloudflare, with CI/CD pipelines, preview environments, caching strategy and monitoring.

Migrating to headless

We can migrate gradually, starting with high-value sections, while preserving URLs and rankings, as outlined on our website migration page.

Performance, accessibility and analytics

We measure Core Web Vitals, optimise images and scripts, test accessibility and set up analytics and consent so marketing data stays accurate.

Cost considerations

Headless projects typically involve more engineering than a standard CMS build, and ongoing maintenance of two systems. We provide transparent estimates and a phased roadmap, so you can start small and extend.
